Project Work

*TRACtion is a customizable product. Features and setup may vary.

Project Work

The Project Work tab is where most of the work is done. You will be able to track your progress through each phase, access the Critical Questions, and link EngineRoom projects. Note: this is a custom feature and may not be available in all instances of TRACtion.

The Summary page provides you with an overview of project details and the roadmap divided into phases.

Each phase has a series of Critical Questions that must be answered before the Tollgate can be submitted for approval. As such, some of the phases will be locked until the previous phase has been completed or has met certain requirements.

You can access the phases by clicking on the purple breadcrumb links in the top right or click the phase name boxes in the "Roadmap Status" section. Blue indicates the current phase, light gray is a phase that has opened but not actively being worked on, and darker gray means that phase is currently locked.

The “Roadmap Status” section displays the Critical Questions by phase and will indicate which questions have been completed and will be included on the Project Storyboard.

tracprojwork2

Add an EngineRoom project to a phase by selecting it from the drop down.

tracprojwork3

You can also add a Gantt chart created in EngineRoom to your Summary page. Select the EngineRoom project then study.

Roadmap Phase

The Roadmap Phase screen contains a list of the Critical Questions that must be answered as well as a Task List and Huddle Board you can use to get your team organized.

Add, assign, set due dates, and update the status of work tasks on the Task List. You can also schedule alerts to be sent via email before or after the due date.

The items from the Task List will appear as cards in the Huddle board. Click and drag the cards to the different columns to update the status.

Critical Questions

The Critical Questions can be accessed from either the Roadmap Phase screen or the Summary page. Add images or EngineRoom studies to the questions. Note: you must link an EngineRoom project on the Project Work Summary page before you can add a study to a question.

Unsaved text changes to answers will be highlighted in orange. Make sure to save your changes before leaving the page. Clicking the "Next" button in the upper right corner will also save your changes.

tracquestion2

Click the pin icon above the answer text box to include the question and answer on the project storyboard.

tracquestion3

On the right side of each question you will find links to tooltips, templates, and shared files and links. Tooltips will pop open helpful course content to guide you along answering the questions.

Tollgate Submission

Once all of the questions have been answered, you may send the tollgate to the Champion for approval. You will find a "Submit for Approval" button on the Roadmap Phase screen.
