Dan Swartwout is the host of Quality Time with MoreSteam. A lifelong Central Ohio resident, Dan is a double Buckeye. He earned both a BA and a law degree from The Ohio State University. Before joining MoreSteam, Dan had a long career as a host, comedian, and master of ceremonies. For 17 years, Dan was the studio audience host for the Ohio Lottery game show Cash Explosion. Dan was also the host of CBuzz, which was a collaboration between the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, WWCD 92.9, and the Columbus Dispatch. On CBuzz, Dan interviewed some of the most prominent entrepreneurs in Central Ohio. From 2002-2020, Dan toured the country as a standup comedian. Tracks from his comedy CD have been played over 5,000 times on Sirius/XM satellite radio. Now, Dan brings his experience and enthusiasm to Quality Time with MoreSteam -- it's business and fun, together.

Dr. Cooper is Associate Professor and Program Director for Healthcare Quality and Safety and Operational Excellence. She is also Interim Director of the Population Health Progam. She designed and inaugurated the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Leadership (QIPS) program and the implementation of the Health System Science curriculum for the Sidney Kimmel Medical College in the JeffMD curriculum.
She is on the Board of the American College of Medical Quality, the QTIP Editor for the American Journal of Medical Quality, and a national speaker on patient safety, healthcare quality, leadership, and social determinants of health.
Much of Dr. Cooper’s career has been leading healthcare quality and patient safety for academic medical centers and affiliated organizations. Dr. Cooper was the Chief Quality Officer and Senior Vice President, Clinical Services for the Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA) from 2012 to 2021. At CHA, she was responsible for overseeing the implementation of High Reliability Science throughout the hospitals in Connecticut, creating value for the hospitals with their quality and safety strategy, and working closely with the state government and quality organizations. Dr. Cooper also oversaw CHA’s work in Population Health, including Social Determinants of Health and the Connecticut Perinatal Quality Collaborative.
Prior to her work at CHA, Dr. Cooper was in Rhode Island for five years, where she was Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer for Lifespan Corporation, a four-hospital health system based in Providence. She was an Assistant Professor in Medicine (Research) at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a Member on the Rhode Island State Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline for five years. She went to Lifespan in July 2007, after twelve years at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where she served as the Chief Quality Officer.
Dr. Cooper received her undergraduate degree cum laude from Duke University, her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, where she was elected to AOA, and her degree in health law from Pace University School of Law. She has numerous publications and grants, and her interests are large-scale change and health policy.

Michael Anderson is a visionary healthcare executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in strategic planning, market development, new service initiatives, financial analysis, and fiscal management. His career reflects a deep and sustained commitment to operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and the advancement of patient-centered care.
Currently serving as the Senior Operations Executive for Senior Care Adult Day Services, Mr. Anderson provides strategic oversight for initiatives in quality and safety, patient satisfaction, and financial performance. He is responsible for designing and implementing efficiency strategies and quality control systems that support organizational growth, sustainability, and service excellence.
Before this role, Mr. Anderson was Director of Operations at Jefferson Hospital, where he led efforts to improve operational standards and outcomes across clinical and administrative domains. His leadership was instrumental in driving performance improvements aligned with institutional goals for quality, safety, and fiscal responsibility.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Anderson held the position of Associate Director for Clinical Effectiveness & Quality Improvement at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. There, he led the development of high reliability Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt teams and co-chaired both the Safety Events Reporting Governance Committee and the Patient Satisfaction Steering Committee. His work contributed to measurable improvements in clinical outcomes and organizational reliability.
Mr. Anderson’s commitment to community engagement is reflected in his previous role as Director at the Foundation of Positive Change, where he supported youth development and community-based training programs. He also served as a board member for ZAPITZONE, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with special needs.
In addition to his operational leadership, Mr. Anderson is deeply interested in the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare. He is particularly focused on leveraging AI-driven technologies to enhance clinical decision-making, streamline operational workflows, and improve patient outcomes. His forward-thinking approach positions him at the forefront of innovation in healthcare delivery.
Mr. Anderson holds certifications in Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (CSSMBB) and Project Management (PM). He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Rosemont University and a Master of Information Systems from Drexel University.
With a strategic vision grounded in data-driven decision-making and a passion for innovation, Michael continues to be a transformative leader in the evolving landscape of healthcare operations.
