Peg Pennington
President
Peg Pennington is President of MoreSteam, where she leads the company's operations and works with organizations around the world to strengthen problem-solving capability through operational excellence, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement. Throughout her career, she has focused on helping leaders build management systems that develop people, improve performance, and create lasting cultures of improvement.
Peg brings more than two decades of experience in operational excellence, leadership development, and organizational transformation. Before joining MoreSteam in 2018, she spent 18 years at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, where she served as Executive Director of the Center for Operational Excellence (COE). In that role, she worked closely with executives, healthcare leaders, manufacturers, and service organizations to apply Lean principles and operational excellence practices to real-world business challenges.
During her time at Ohio State, Peg directed the Master of Business Operational Excellence (MBOE) program and taught Lean tools and concepts. She also served as Academic Director for the Academy for Excellence in Healthcare, a partnership between Ohio State and Cardinal Health that helped healthcare organizations improve quality, patient outcomes, and operational performance through Lean thinking and continuous improvement.
Peg's work has consistently centered on translating operational excellence principles into practical leadership and management practices. Her areas of interest include Lean management systems, strategy deployment, visual management, A3 thinking, leadership development, and creating environments where continuous learning and improvement can thrive.
Today, Peg serves on the Board of Directors for the Lean Enterprise Institute and is a frequent speaker on operational excellence leadership, organizational learning, and building sustainable cultures of improvement. Through her work with MoreSteam, LEI, and organizations across industries, she continues to advocate for approaches that engage people, strengthen problem-solving capability, and deliver meaningful business results.
Peg holds a B.S. in Finance from Michigan State University and an MBA from University of Dayton.
