Xander Hathaway

Alexander “Xander” Hathaway is Vice President of Product Development at MoreSteam, where he leads the software development team and shapes the strategy, architecture, and technical foundation of the company’s platform. His work focuses on the intersection of technology, people, and the evolving nature of work, with an emphasis on building systems that help organizations solve problems effectively at scale.
Xander’s expertise spans enterprise software engineering, cloud architecture, machine learning, and continuous improvement. He has led the development of modern web applications, back-end services, AI-enabled systems, DevOps infrastructure, and scalable cloud-based platforms across industries including telecommunications, agriculture, media, real estate, and healthcare technology.
A dedicated engineering leader and mentor, Xander has guided dozens of developers and built high-performing technical teams responsible for delivering enterprise applications and data platforms. His interests include AI implementation, developer mentorship, and creating environments where teams can do meaningful work while maintaining healthy, sustainable cultures.
A Black Belt–trained continuous improvement practitioner, Xander attended his first Lean Six Sigma conference while still in high school, beginning a long-standing interest in operational excellence and systems thinking. He has since spoken at conferences and professional events including the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Lean Six Sigma Conference, ASQ World Conference, ASQ chapter events, the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) conference, the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) Annual Conference, and the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) conference. He also participated in an International Society of Six Sigma Professionals (ISSSP) panel discussion alongside Mike Carnell titled, “Exploring Different Approaches to Managing Change in the Context of AI Implementation.”
Xander holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Information and Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
