Over the last several years, IBM's Lean Six Sigma training has undergone a dramatic transformation from face-to-face classroom training to a blended virtual learning approach.
Michael Testani is a Business Transformation and Learning Consultant for IBM's Corporate Learning organization. He is the Program Manager for IBM's Global Process Excellence learning initiatives and the Course Manager of their Lean Six Sigma Black Belt worldwide learning offering.
Over the past 28 years, he has held positions such as Vice President of Engineering, Plant General Manager, Product Manager, Director of Operations and various other leadership roles. Michael is a certified Master Black Belt, Lean Master, DFSS Black Belt, Instructor and Facilitator. He currently serves as the Vice President of Technical Operations for the Institute of Industrial Engineers and was previously a Director for the IIE's Lean Division.
Don Sobeski is a Business Transformation and Learning Consultant for IBM's Corporate Learning organization. He is the Course Manager for IBM's Lean Six Sigma Green Belt worldwide learning offering.
During his 40 years with IBM, Don has worked in several different business areas, including hardware engineering, software development, business transformation consulting and corporate education. Don's current focus is in human performance analysis, business process improvement and corporate education strategies. As a certified Business Transformation Consultant, Don has drawn upon his performance analysis and technology background to assist IBM internal accounts as well as external clients. As a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, he has trained over 1000 Lean Six Sigma Green Belts over the last five years.
Luca Bencini recently retired form IBM where he was a Senior Managing Consultant and is currently delivering IBM's virtual Black Belt course. Professionally, he has over 25 years of hands-on experience in business consulting in both the commercial and public sectors.
He was heavily involved in the Deming Prize at Florida Power & Light and participated in the first US Quality Functional Deployment. Professionally, he is certified Master Black Belt, and certified through ASQ as: Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Reliability Engineer, Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence and is an APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional. He has published several papers in the quality improvement field. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with degrees in Chemical Engineering and Economics and holds an MBA from Harvard.
