Once again held at the Villanova University Conference Center, this year's event was a half day format focusing on Excellence in Process Improvement.

•The Input: a diverse collection of leaders and practitioners from manufacturing, technology, finance, insurance, health care, and other industries (see list to the right).
•The Output: New-found acquaintances and a day of discussion regarding tools, challenges, and new solutions.

The day started with a round of networking introductions led by Chris Paret of MoreSteam.com. Following lunch, the presentations were kicked off by Michael Stouffer from Manitowoc Company. In his presentation "Lean Assessments – Providing Continuous Improvement Leverage", Michael provided the audience with a glimpse into their usage and continuing development of a sustainable assessment (auditing) system in both manufacturing and office environments. Following a short networking break, James Mikulski of Green, Tweed and Company moved into an overview of the challenges involved in moving from functional alignment to a value stream management system with his presentation, "Value Stream Management - Creating a Sustainable Culture of Continuous Improvement".

After a short networking break, Jack Merritt, of Magic Hat Consulting, led the group in a discussion on improving the view and the success of business process improvement deployments through project lifecycle resource optimization. Chris Paret, of MoreSteam.com, closed out the day with an overview of what trends we are seeing in process improvement deployments and how these are affecting the way organizations are achieving significant improvement results.

An Evening of Networking

At the end of the program, attendees were invited to a casual reception in the sunken lounge of the historic Montrose Mansion. Those who remained enjoyed an extended opportunity for conversation and networking with their fellow process improvement executives.
