Released in October, 2009, Engineroom 5.0 is the most powerful version yet. As a Microsoft® Excel®-based tool, EngineRoom provides Lean Six Sigma practitioners with a powerful, simple-to-use suite of data analysis tools and templates. |
|
EngineRoom is organized in a DMAIC format - the way you work. The tools are arranged to guide you from the planning to the completion of your Lean Six Sigma projects. EngineRoom 5.0 adds even more power to your analysis, primarily with the addition of a Design of Experiments (DOE) module.
New to EngineRoom 5.0 - Design of Experiments for Everyone!
A major new addition in EngineRoom 5.0 is the Design of Experiments (DOE) module, which employs an intuitive, user-friendly Wizard for experimental design selection and analysis in “plain English.” This completes the suite of statistical tools in EngineRoom for integration with a Lean Six Sigma training course. Many of the notable features are listed below.
Experimental Design
- Question & Answer Wizard in plain English to guide you through the process of selecting the right design for your purpose.
- Handy DOE Map for quick selection of desired design.
- Two-level full and fractional factorial designs for two to eight factors. Designs for Screening as well as Ruggedness testing objectives.
- Multi-level (up to five levels each) General full factorial designs for two to five factors.
- Estimate of Power for current design and Number of replications required to attain 80% and 90% power (two-level designs only).
- Blocking and replication options.
- Automatically randomized design runs that can also be sorted by standard order.
- Ability to analyze up to two output (response) variables per design.
Analytical Output
- Effects plots (Half-Normal, Pareto) with significant effects highlighted, for two-level designs.
- Numerical output (Effects and Coefficients, ANOVA table, R-squared, Adjusted R-squared) and model equation for the significant effects in coded as well as uncoded units of measurement. (General factorial output does not show effects or the uncoded model)
- Diagnostic plots (Normal probability plot, Histogram, Residuals vs. Fits and Residuals vs. Run Order).
- Factorial plots (main effects, two-factor interactions, cube plots).
EngineRoom’s unique, interactive DOE Wizard guides you step-by-step through the process of experimental design creation and analysis. Now the power and efficiency of DOE is available to practitioners of all skill levels to help achieve major breakthroughs in product and process improvements. |
