EngineRoom 5.0 is the most powerful version yet! EngineRoom upgrades are fully operable versions of the software, not partial patches. Current users are all eligible for this upgrade to version 5.0 at no additional cost. The current version is now 5.09 (March, 2010).
System Requirements for EngineRoom 5.0
Check these requirements first to ensure compatibility:
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows® 98 or higher
- EngineRoom is not supported on the Apple OS
- Microsoft Excel: Microsoft Office® 2002 (XP) or higher
- Microsoft Excel should be running locally and not over a network as a distributed application. EngineRoom will not perform correctly if you are running Microsoft Excel over a network
- EngineRoom for Excel 2007 will not function properly if any previous versions of Excel are installed, so you will need to remove all previous versions of Excel before installing EngineRoom for Excel 2007.
- Macro Security: EngineRoom contains macros. Excel macro security must be set to Medium or lower.
- Display Properties Setting: Viewed best with 1024 x 768 screen size
- Processor: Pentium or equivalent; 1 GHz or higher
- RAM: 1 GB free space minimum
- Hard Disk: 10 MB free space
- Adobe Acrobat Reader (Free Download) - for tutorials
- Flash 7 Player (Free Download) - for tutorials
Downloading and Installing the Upgrade
Version 5.0 will install using your current EngineRoom license code, so no new code is required. To upgrade, simply follow the steps described below:
- Make sure that Microsoft Excel is closed and no instances are running.
- Determine your version of Excel and click on the appropriate link to download the upgrade:
- Save the file to your desktop.
- Double-click the file and install.
